All clients are required to agree to the following policies in order to book and receive any services. Serendipity Creative Media reserves the right to enforce and adjust these policies at any given time.
Full payment is required to schedule a photoshoot date; 50% of the full payment will be considered a non-refundable deposit. If no payment is made, there is no session secured; only sessions paid in full will be locked into the calendar. All packages are subject to state tax.
Travel is available! Same day travel where the photoshoot location is within 2 hours from the Raleigh-Durham area will require a $50+tax travel fee. The travel fee can be purchased under the additional services tab and is required to finish securing your session. To discuss travel rates for locations outside of the 2 hour radius or for out-of-state and out-of-country travel, please feel free to email email@example.com.
Photoshoots can be rescheduled with at least 48 hour notice; rescheduling after the 48 hour mark is considered a "short notice" and will require a $50 rescheduling fee. Outdoor sessions that have to be rescheduled due to weather will not require a rescheduling fee.
Cancellation & Tardiness
If any photoshoot is cancelled on part of the client only a 50% refund will be administered; the remaining 50% is retained as a non-refundable deposit. Tardiness beyond 15 mins will result in the forfeiting of the full session amount and an automatic cancellation of the session without rescheduling. Session end times will not be extended to accommodate client lateness.
If Serendipity Creative Media cannot perform services due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to the photographer’s illness or emergency, then the photographer shall return the retainer fee to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the services. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer. In the event Serendipity Creative Media fails to perform for any other reason, Serendipity Creative Media shall not be liable for any amount in excess of all monies paid.
Turnaround time for photographs is 14 business days; Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays are not considered business days. A 48 hour rush order is available for an additional cost of $100+tax. The rush fee can be purchased under the additional services tab.
Props & Decorations
Clients are welcomed to bring any props and decorations they would like to the session. Clients are also able to utilize any in-house props already in stock. In-house prop use is a courtesy; ultimately it is not the responsibility of the photographer to provide any props. If requesting an in-house prop, the request must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the session. Props that produce smoke (such as smoke bombs or tobacco products) cannot be used in-studio if activated, however they can be used as props without activation. Props that unleash liquid rapidly (such as popping champagne bottles) cannot be used in-studio if activated, however they can be used as props without activation. Clients can freely activate these props during outdoor sessions.
The client grants the photographer the right to use all images and footage without restriction for advertising, portfolios, and other lawful purposes. The client waives the right to inspect any images produced using the images or footage from the events in this contract, and the right to restrict the use of the images or footage from the listed events by the photographer.
